Michelangelo's David (below), sculpted from 1501 to 1504, is a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture.

But what if Michelangelo lived today, and his sculpture was based on a modern day American? It might look a little bit like this...

Engrish

December 5th 2007 11:09
Engrish refers to grammatically incorrect variations of English, often found in East Asian countries. While the term may refer to spoken English, it is more often used to describe written English, for which problems are easier to identify and publicize. Engrish has been found on everything from poorly translated signs, menus, and instruction manuals to bizarrely worded advertisements and strange t-shirt slogans. Usage of the term ranges from the humorous to the slightly pejorative. Below are some great examples of Engrish from Asia!

Engrish - Dear guest, we are changing the kinds of minibar food and beverage. So there is nothing in your minibar. If you need more problem, please contact us on extension 5. We are terribly sorry for bringing you so much inconvenient.
I wouldn't call if I were you.

Engrish signs from Asia. You lady will push this button before leaving.

English signs is Asia - Don't make skies fall down. On a ski lift.
But you can always try!!!

Gentlemen sign with a picture of a lady.
Damn those feminists!

Engrish - Screw Taiwan. Made in China.
