How Americans Perceive Australia

The way some Americans who have never been to Australia perceive it amuses us greatly. They seem to think that in Australia kangaroos roam the streets, koalas drop from trees and attack tourists, everyone is like Steve Irwin, we all carry big knives, there is nothing but desert all around and the list goes on.

That's why the Council of Australians for Uneducated Americans (CAUA) was formed.
Here is CAUA's first educational poster sent to the USA.

Actually it's a joke. We ride kangaroos around Sydney all the time!

I don't think any Americans actually believe any of that. Other countries always think the worst of us for no reason.
