In some countries safety regulations limit the number of passengers permitted onto cars, trucks, buses and trains.
However in other parts of the world, it's not if you can find a seat, but if you can find any spare space at all!

Traffic Jam and a Half!

December 24th 2008 01:49
What's worse than gridlocked traffic on a 16 lane freeway?
Blocking half the lanes and forcing everyone to turn around through a narrow gap and head back in the direction from whence they came!

This picture of your worst traffic nightmare was taken in Russia.
By the time those people got to work, they would have to turn around and head home again.

How to Resolve Parking Disputes

November 7th 2008 01:36
This is how it should be done in all areas of society. Let's do away with parking inspectors for good!

Reserved Parking. For German Village Society Past Presidents. If two or more of you show up at one time work it out with rock, paper, scissors. Violators will be assigned an extra shift at Oktoberfest.

What a better world it would be if all our disputes were solved this way.

They say bird poo is not good for your car's paintwork. If that's the case then this person is in some serious trouble. They won't even be able to make it to the car wash!

Don't Take Up Two Parking Spaces!

May 12th 2008 11:26
Parked in two spaces letter - Dear Person, I’m sorry if I put a dent in your car. I didn’t want to but, I did when I tried to park next to you. I am not leaving my information because you chose to use two spaces and I just wanted to park in one. The scratches are because I used a towel that had sand on it to try to clean the dent/ paint off. Beaches are fun. Please look your car over for the dent and scratches and each time you see them remember not to park in two spaces. Sorry!!
This is what can happen if you park double spaced! Click on the image to open a larger version and read the letter!

Dangerous Roads

February 6th 2008 05:14
You wouldn't believe the roads some vehicles around the world drive on. They are too thin, unstable and on the edge of a steep cliff.
You can find such roads in Bolivia, Siberia or Afghanistan to name a few. The pictures below are from incredibly dangerous roads in Bolivia where trucks disappearing over the edge is a common occurrence.

Nice Police Cars

November 24th 2006 04:10
Police cars are also known around the world as police cruisers, squad cars, prowlers, radio cars, panda cars, area cars, scout cars or patrol cars. In some places a police car may also be nicknamed cop cars, cherry tops or jam sandwiches.

Police departments historically have used standard-size, low-price line sedans for their vehicles which are upgraded with a police package provided by the manufacturer. These days however, police departments are experimenting with higher class vehicles. Examples of these are below. Who knows what they'll be driving next
