Ha! that is so true! but more likely he would have gotten into video games and just said screw it all, cause there isnt any good marble anymore.

but David was sculpted based on the bible story, and the people of that time were mostly thin because they didn't have as much food to eat. The statue was also carved for the church in the city of florence to be a representation of the city's association with David and how he overcame Goliath. They wanted him to be ideal. Even today, a city would not commission a piece of art to in that way if it were to represent the city itself.
