In 1949 the Lego company started to produce their world famous plastic interlocking bricks. Since then they have released thousands of play sets themed on every topic imaginable including space, robots, pirates, vikings, castles, dinosaurs, holiday locations, scuba diving, the wild west, the arctic, airports, miners, Star Wars, Batman, SpongeBob SquarePants, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones and Speed Racer. Each set often contains new and unique elements. They have even released accessories such as gears, motors, lights and cameras which can be used with other Lego components.
