Disturbing Kids Toys

July 10th 2009 04:19
They're supposed to be cute and fun, however some children's toys appear somewhat creepy to us adults. Here are 5 such examples. Photos and text sourced from cracked.com here.
Weird Toys
Six Finger Shooter
At first glance this looks a bit like a sex toy. In reality it becomes an extra appendage, then shoots darts. Every little boys dream!

Disturbing Toys
Doctor Drill 'n Fill
I take it this toy is supposed to simulate drilling holes in teeth and filling with gold (which looks a little brown for my liking). It might make kids less scared of the dentist, or could teach them that boring holes in stuff is fun. Hide the power drill Dad!

Weird toys
Erwin the Little Patient
OK so maybe you want your child to grow up and become a doctor, but this is going too far. These cute, cuddly and robust organs may encourage them to take a look inside their friends for a fluffy little red heart!

Creepy Toys - Lookalike Doll
Lookalike Doll
This is actually a toy designed for adults. Basically it's a doll that can look like you and mimic your voice. It might be cool to have a mini me for about 5 minutes, but after that the only possible use for this toy is voodoo and other black magic.

mattel mindflex
Mattel Mindflex
The Mindflex is made by Mattel so is the real deal. Apparently it can read you brain activity, and use this information to control the speed on a fan which is holding up a ping pong ball. So by concentrating you can raise the ball up and down using only your mind.... It's the first step, who knows what will come next!

The lookalike doll is sure disturbing. Who would like to see a mini-version of themselves lying on the floor (where all toys end up), covered with mud, or with broken parts (which will eventually happen). But if it does have a long term life, it must be kind of funny to look at it as you change, because it stays the same and reminds you of the way you used to be.
