Featured on WedShare Daily, a popular wedding blog, this groom’s cake depicts Texas Tech’s Jones AT&T football stadium. The couple, who married in 2009, are graduates of the university and very big fans of the football team.
Made by cakelava’s Rick Reichart, this cake was a surprise for the groom. The bride knew her soon-to-be husband’s favorite book was J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, but he couldn’t decide on a groom’s cake, so she did! The Guava Lava–flavored book is handmade, everything is edible and it feeds 25 people.
Weighing 15,032 pounds and standing 17 feet tall, this seven-tier vanilla monster is the world’s largest wedding cake. Made by Mohegan Sun’s Executive Pastry Chef Lynn Mansel, it contains 10,000 pounds of cake batter and 4,810 pounds of frosting. It can feed up to 59,000 people and took 700 sheet cakes and 57 chefs to construct, plus two forklifts to raise each tier.
